Concept of different intellection man and womanIf you have are looking to take your writing to the next level, a professional critique group is your best bet. You no longer need to be a student to gain excellent feedback from professional writers. The Boulder Writers’ Workshop is hosting a monthly writing critique group. The next event is on Friday, January 30, 2015, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The event will be hosted in Boulder. The location of the event is due to change, but registered attendees will be notified of the location before the event. This is open to Boulder Writers’ Workshop members only.

Critique sessions are led by Lori DeBoer, professional writing coach and author. Lori has a successful freelance writing career and has helped hundreds of clients and students achieve their writing and publication goals. This group is designed troubleshoot and strengthen your stories. Through critiquing other people’s pieces and having your own critiqued, you’ll gain a greater understanding of what makes a story work and how to get published. In addition to story feedback, there will be writing exercises and activities with constructive, on-the-spot feedback. Two authors will be work shopped each month. There is a $75 charge to submit your own work for critique, as you will be receiving professional feedback. Attending critique sessions to help fellow authors and to gain insights through their work is free as long as your member dues are up to date.
